Looking for help at wide receiver this week?  Take a look at the Jets’ Quincy Enunwa.  Enunwa has been productive all season long, even against some pretty stout defenses.  This week he faces the Brownies, the most generous team in the league for wide receivers.  I’m conservative with him on my cheatsheet — ranking him as the 35th wide receiver — but the upside on this guy is what excites me.  I added Enunwa to both of my fantasy leagues, and suggest that you consider doing likewise.

The NFL has been publishing the NFL Record & Fact Book for many years now.  The book is intended to provide information to the news media as an aid in reporting NFL games, but is chocolate to anyone that has even a passing interest professional football.  The book is incredible in size and scope – packed with enough stats and figures to leave you in a convulsive state of NFL infoxication.  Best of all it’s free!

The NFL Record & Fact Book used to be available only in print form, but (to the best of my knowledge) has been available only in PDF format for the last couple of years.  The only drawback is the time it takes to download the thing, but let me reassure you that it’s definitely worth the wait.  You’ll find the link to this publication below.

by rseysPosted on Posted in 10th Anniversary of the Denny Green Meltdown

I’ve never understood the bad rep the late Denny Green (1949-2016) received as a coach.  Green finished his NFL career with a 113-94 win-loss record, and led my Vikings to the playoffs eight of his 10 seasons with the team.  I liked the guy.  Sadly, many will remember Green only for his 2006 tirade made during his tenure with the Arizona Cardinals.  This week marks the 10th anniversary of that meltdown.  For those of you that remember, in a post-game interview following a heartbreaking loss to the Chicago Bears that saw the Cardinals blow a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter, Green simply lost it.  If you’ve never seen it, check out the video below.

The NFL recently announced scheduling changes for week 8 on Sunday, October 30.  The Packers-Falcons and Cardinals-Panthers games will swap times.  The Packers-Falcons will now play at 4:25 PM ET while the Cardinals-Panthers game will kickoff at 1:00 PM ET.  For those of you that download and print Football Weblog’s One Page Schedules, please note that they’ve been updated to include these changes.
